Blackmail 2nd Day Box Office Collection
Irrfan Khan starrer latest Bollywood movie ‘Blackmail’ witnessed 30% growth in the theatre occupancy on 2nd day of release and earned an amount of Rs 3.85 crore at the box office. In two days, the Hindi language comedy drama film made a total collection of Rs 6.66 crore at Bollywood Box Office. The Hindi film is expected to cross Rs 10 crore mark at India’s box office in first weekend. The Bollywood film grossed a total income of Rs 15 crore at the worldwide box office in 2 days.
Directed by Abhinay Deo, the newly released Bollywood movie started its box office journey on a decent note. Receiving mixed reviews from the critics, the Hindi language movie witnessed 20% occupancy in the cinema halls on opening day and registered a business of Rs 2.81 crore on day 1. On first day of release, the Bollywood film earned Rs 1 crore in the overseas. The Hindi movie’s collection at the worldwide box office was reported to be Rs 4 crore on day 1.
Apart from earning a single digit box office income in India, the Bollywood movie received a good response from the audiences in foreign countries and made a total collection of Rs 1.5 crore in the overseas. Receiving highest response from the moviegoers in United States and Canada, the Hindi film earned Rs 0.85 crore in North America. Witnessing decent occupancy in the cinema halls, the Bollywood film registered a business of Rs 0.02 crore in New Zealand. In Malaysia, the Bollywood film earned Rs 0.02 crore.
The Hindi movie received mixed feedback from the audiences in European countries. The Bollywood movie made a business of Rs 0.26 crore in United Kingdom. In two days, the Hindi film’s total collection surpassed Rs 15 crore mark at the worldwide box office. Though the Hindi movie is facing box office clash with latest Bollywood movies ‘Raid’, ‘Hichki’ and ‘Baaghi 2’ in India, it is expected to receive steady response from the people on week days.
