Bollywood Box Office 2009 |Highest Grosser Movies of The Year : Here’s the list of the box office performances of all Bollywood movies released in year 2009. Amir Khan starrer ‘3 Idiots’ became the first movie of Bollywood to enter Rs 300 crore worldwide box office collection. The earned Rs 202 crore total income on Indian box office and became the first movie to cross Rs 200 crore mark in domestic market. Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani was the 2nd highest earner movie of year 2009. Featuring Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor in main roles, the comedy film earned a total income of Rs 64 crore in India. Akshay Kumar’s ‘De Dana Dan’ ranked third in the list of highest grosser movies of year 2009. Salman Khan’s ‘Veer’ was the fourth highest grosser film of the year 2009. The Hindi offering did a business of Rs 46 crore on Indian box office. Popular Bollywood actress Zarin Khan made her debut in Bollywood industry by playing love interest of Salman in that film. Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan starrer ‘Paa’ was the fifth highest earner film of the year. The multi-starrer flick registered a business of Rs 30 crore on Indian box office.
