Pari Movie Second Day Box Office Collection
Featuring Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma in leading role, latest Hindi movie ‘Pari’ earned Rs 5.47 crore on 2nd day of its release. The Bollywood film witnessed 20% occupancy on Saturday and collected Rs 5.50 crore worldwide income on second day. The Hindi film earned a total collection of Rs 9.83 crore in initial two days of the first weekend.
The Hindi movie witnessed low theatre occupancy on the opening day as most of the people were busy celebrating Indian festival Holi. Hence, the Bollywood film didn’t receive huge response from audiences in cinema halls on day 1. Directed by Prosit Roy, the romantic horror movie earned Rs 4.36 crore income on first day of its release.
This movie has been produced by Anushka Sharma. Being Anushka Sharm’s third home production, the film failed to attract a big number of audience in the theatres on Friday. Her previous production ‘Phillauri’ performed comparatively poorer at Bollywood Box Office. Witnessing 30% occupancy, the Hindi film had collected Rs 3.75 crore on opening day.
‘Pari’ received a good response in Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana and other states in central India. In south India, the movie could not gain a satisfactory response from the audiences as some Tamil and Telugu films have acquired strong hold in the cinema halls of southern part of India. It seems that it will be quite difficult for the new Hindi movie to drag a huge audience in the cinema halls.
Public response for the movie was quite good in Maharashtra. As Anushka has a good number of fan followers in the state, her new film received satisfactory response in the Marathi speaking state and witnessed 20 to 30% theatre occupancy. The Bollywood movie also received good response in Punjab and Haryana. However, it failed to gain big response in other north Indian states. The movie is expected to earn Rs 20 crore in first week. Latest box office figures are awaited.
